Allie Threlkeld Counseling

Allie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and her M.Ed. in Counseling from Auburn University in Auburn, AL. She has over 15 years of experience working with teenagers and women in a clinical setting. Allie strives to create a very open and relaxed counseling environment where clients can come and be themselves. She hopes that her office is a space where clients will never feel judged or condemned for how they think or feel. She is very passionate about helping her clients grow in their faith in God and learn to cling to Truth in a world that often lies to them about their identity, value, and beauty. One of Allie’s favorite verses is from Zephaniah 3:17, “The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by his love; He will exult over you with loud singing.” She believes this verse illustrates the Lord’s posture toward His people who are suffering and gives us confidence that He is with us during the hardest times of life. After being a part of a large counseling practice in North Dallas for over a decade, Allie has recently started her own practice in central Dallas where she can work part-time while also being home with her four children during the weeks. Allie enjoys baking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
